Kendrick Recruitment is seeking a qualified and experienced Field Guide to join a world-class luxury safari lodge in Northern KwaZulu-Natal. This is an exceptional opportunity for a passionate guide committed to delivering immersive Big 5 safari experiences, outstanding guest hosting, and contributing to a conservation-driven luxury operation.

Key Responsibilities:
Guiding & Guest Experience
- Deliver world-class game drives and interpretive safari experiences
- Host guests professionally and confidently in the field
- Ensure exceptional wildlife encounters and memorable safari experiences
- Maintain the highest safety standards during all guiding activities
Guest Engagement & Experience Enhancement
- Create engaging and educational bush interpretation experiences
- Deliver immersive storytelling aligned with luxury safari standards
- Assist with photographic and content contributions where required
- Ensure consistently high-level guest interaction and hosting
Conservation & Sustainability
- Actively participate in conservation and sustainability initiatives
- Promote responsible tourism and environmental awareness
- Support ecological integrity and wildlife conservation objectives
- Uphold ethical guiding practices at all times
Administration & Operational Duties
- Complete guiding administration and reporting requirements
- Maintain accurate sighting and activity records
- Ensure compliance with reserve operational procedures
- Support lodge operations when required
Minimum Requirements:
- French speaking is essential
- FGASA Level 2 (NQF 4) qualification required
- Full Trails Guide qualification required
- Tracker Level 2 advantageous
- Valid ARH and PDP licence
- DEAT registered
- Valid First Aid Certificate
- Minimum 5+ years experience in Big 5 / dangerous game environment
- Previous experience in a 5-star luxury lodge environment essential
- Strong communication and guest hosting skills (verbal & written)
