Johannesburg: Financial Accountant (Distribution)

Role Responsibilities: Prepare monthly financial statements, management accounts, and supporting schedules. Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts to ensure accurate financial reporting. Perform balance sheet reconciliations and ensure compliance with IFRS. Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis. Handle fixed asset management, including additions, disposals, and depreciation. Oversee accruals, prepayments, and month-end close processes. Support external audits, internal audits, and statutory reporting requirements. Engage with operational and distribution teams to ensure financial data accuracy. Drive process improvements, cost control initiatives, and financial efficiencies. Assist with stock accounting, shrinkage analysis, and supply-chain-related financial reviews. Minimum Requirements: BCom Accounting or equivalent. SAICA/SAIPA articles advantageous. 35 years experience as a Financial Accountant (distribution, FMCG, or retail industry beneficial). Strong IFRS knowledge and experience with high-volume financial environments. Advanced Excel and ERP system experience (SAP, Oracle, or similar).
