Maitland: Tax Administrator

My client a successful accounting and audit firm is looking to employ a Tax Administrator with solid individual tax exposure to join their team. Why join this team? A dynamic finance and tax administration team that values precision, efficiency, and compliance Hands-on exposure to a wide variety of tax types and client structures ideal for someone looking to grow their tax expertise in a professional and supportive environment What you will be doing: Prepare and submit income tax returns for Companies, Trusts, and Individuals Capture data and review income tax assessments Draft and lodge objections and appeals Apply for reduced assessments under the Tax Administration Act Request penalty remittance from SARS Submit and follow up on requests for assessment reasons Manage various SARS registrations VAT, PAYE, Customs, NPO, PBO, etc Handle re-registrations/reactivations for tax types Prepare tax computations for individuals and trusts Submit returns provisional, income, donations, and dividend tax Apply for tax clearance certificates (Good Standing, AIT) Submit tax directive applications Compile and submit required supporting documents Manage registered representative appointments Attend to SARS queries, correspondence, and verifications Handle non-residency tax applications and CGT calculations Respond to client queries via email and phone What we are looking for: Qualification: minimum of an entry-level taxation certificate Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a tax administration environment Experience with SARS eFiling, GreatSoft Familiar with tax returns for Companies, Individuals, and Trusts Understand Tax Administration Act Benefits and unique aspects: Exposure to a variety of tax matters and structures Opportunity to work closely with experienced professionals Supportive, professional work environment Please note if you haven’t heard back from us within two weeks of submitting your application, unfortunately your application has not been successful this time.
