An exclusive 5-star lodge in the Sabi Sand Reserve is looking for a talented and dedicated Junior Sous Pastry Chef to join their culinary team. This is a hands-on position, assisting the Head and Senior Sous Chefs in maintaining the lodge’s high standards and delivering exceptional pastry and dessert experiences to guests. This is a fantastic opportunity for a pastry chef with ambition, flair, and a love for the bush to grow within a world-class hospitality brand. : Relevant culinary degree or diploma from a reputable institution. Minimum of 3 years’ pastry kitchen experience in a similar high-end lodge or hotel environment Strong food knowledge, creativity, and awareness of dietary requirements Confident in supervising, mentoring, and motivating junior kitchen staff Working knowledge of hygiene, kitchen equipment, and safety protocols Physically fit, well-groomed, and committed to high standards Knowledge of labour legislation and basic first aid is an advantage Good administrative skills including food cost, menu planning and HR Stable employment history with contactable references , , .
