A reputable Construction Company based in Cape Town is looking for a Senior Estimator to join their team.    

Key requirements:

• Diploma or BTech Degree in Quantity Surveying
• Minimum 5 years experience in the construction industry
• Knowledge and efficiency in Microsoft Office and AutoCAD

Key responsibilities:

• Compiling estimates on new and current business.
• Compile pricing for RFQs, RFIs and Tenders.
• Maintain and update the Estimate register.
• Maintain and update the Agent contact list.
• Providing commercial support internally.
• Ability to produce accurate estimates and quality control them independently without supervision.
• Coordination of the estimated input for an estimate from all relevant disciplines/individuals, to suit the required level of accuracy an proposal time schedule
• Risk analysis meeting
• Price fix meeting to provide estimate summary to Management
• Cost estimation: Understanding the cost of design and the ability to estimate cost related to a project or specific activity
• Estimating methods: Good understanding of conceptual, capacity factored, mechanical factored and definitive methods.
