Location: Western Cape

Our client in the IT industry is looking for an Operational Support Specialist.

Key responsibilities
• Analyze and examine current systems, the effectiveness of systems and assist management with information regarding the feasibility of systems
• Talking to users and gathering of requirements
• Producing specifications for new or modified systems
• Support clients in administer defects and incidents within the system production environment.
• Implementations of new systems.
• Follow up on testing defects
• Support to other business areas and external teams
• Strong administration skills.
• Preparing user manuals, prepare functional descriptions and update existing documents
• Good communication skills.
• Will be required to interact with different companies.
• Liase with clients and handle queries

Requirements
• Matric
• Valid Driver’s License with own transport
• Certificate / Diploma in Business Analyst
• IT or Software experience
• Working experience in a Bank Collections (e.g. Debit orders)
• Working experience with Payrolls Collections
• Analytical thinking
• Willing to learn from other team members and value feedback
• Ability to handle multiple assignments
• Thorough understanding of the Bank Collections process
• Must understand and speak English fluently
• Attention to detail
• Ability to meet deadlines and handle priority changes as circumstances dictate
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Able to work independently
• Must be available immediately
• Must be willing to work on pre-determined Saturdays
