Somerset West: O&M Technician – Renewable Engineering Industry posted by Hire Resolve

Hire Resolves client in the Solar Energy industry is urgently seeking the expertise of an Operations and Maintenance Technician in Somerset West, Cape Town.

Responsibilities:

• Perform site inspections as required in preparation for Operations & Maintenance (O&M) after project completion.
• Schedule and conduct maintenance and repairs on all related components of a PV system.
• Complete O&M inspection checklists.
• Send monthly performance reports to the Head of O&M.
• Liaise with the Head of O&M for resource requirements, including the Bill of Materials when needed.
• Manage client relations specific to O&M.
• Maintain and develop department documentation related to O&M.
• Stay up to date with the latest Solar Performance Standards.
• Check DC compliance.
• Conduct project site production runs and site visits in preparation for handover to the O&M department.

Requirements:

• Qualified Electrician or minimum 5 years experience in a similar role.
• IT/Communications and Solar knowledge/experience.
• Proficiency in Excel, excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Valid drivers license.
