Job Vacancy: General Foreman

Our client is a well-established Construction Company operating in the built environment.

They are currently are currently seeking a General Foreman to join their team.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for site set-up and layout
• Manage and meet project budgets
• Supervise on-site staff and sub-contractors
• Ensure compliance with occupational Health, Safety & Environment requirements
• Procure materials and equipment efficiently
• Ensure project timelines and milestones are met

Minimum Requirements:

• NQF Trade Certificate/Grade 12 Certificate
• Minimum of a Matriculation/Diploma (Bricklaying, Carpentry, Plumbing, Electrical, etc.)
• National Technical Diploma/Certificate/Diploma in Construction
• Formal Certificate/Diploma in Health Safety & Environment Management
• Valid drivers license required

Preferred Competencies:

• 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar supervisory capacity
• In-depth knowledge of construction site Health Safety & Environment requirements
• Proven track record managing personnel resources onsite
• Strong time management and interpersonal communication skills
• Ability to build relationships with sub-contractors and other service providers
• Cost management expertise
• Ability to read and comprehend construction site architectural/engineering drawings
