Hire Resolve’s client specializing in the Logistics industry, is currently seeking a Senior Airfreight Controller to join their dynamic team in Gauteng. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing airfreight operations for various clients. Responsibilities:

• Managing all airfreight operations, including booking flights, coordinating shipments, and tracking deliveries
• Liaising with clients, airlines, and customs officials to ensure smooth and efficient delivery of goods
• Overseeing a team of airfreight coordinators and providing guidance and support as needed
• Monitoring market trends and staying up-to-date on industry regulations and developments
• Resolving any issues or delays that may arise during the shipping process
• Ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations regarding airfreight operations

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
• At least 5 years of experience in airfreight operations, with a proven track record of success
• This person must be very strong with airfreight import and export
• Have relationships with the airlines
• Understanding of routings
• Craft flying to various destinations
• Able to negotiate improved rates
• Support other desks with solutions for their own clients
• Cargowise knowledge advantageous
