Seeking an experienced, organised and results-driven Production Plant Foreman to oversee and optimise daily manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will maintain high-quality production standards, ensure efficient resource utilisation, and lead a skilled workforce in a fast-paced environment Minimum Requirements Matric (NSC). Extensive knowledge in SketchUp (Will be tested) Previous experience in managing 35 or more employees Advantageous Experience Experience with laser cutting processes. Previous experience working with sheet metal. Key Responsibilities Plan, organise and direct daily production operations to consistently exceed customer expectations. Improve production capacity, efficiency and flexibility while minimising waste, unnecessary costs and downtime. Take full responsibility for production output, product quality and on-time delivery of finished goods to the warehouse. Allocate resources effectively and ensure full utilisation of plant assets. Implement operational strategies aligned with company objectives and provide clear direction to the production team. Monitor plant operations and initiate corrective actions when required. Establish and maintain a trusting and collaborative relationship with the workgroup, while effectively managing and developing plant staff. Collect and analyse operational data to identify inefficiencies, reduce waste and manage overtime. Enforce company safety procedures and promote a strong safety culture. Develop systems and processes to track and optimise productivity, performance targets and operational standards. Address employee concerns, grievances and workplace issues in a fair and timely manner. Ensure accurate recording and submission of staff attendance to the HR department. Take timely disciplinary action against offenders in accordance with company procedures. Train, guide and support production employees to ensure competency and consistent performance. Oversee the daily workflow, shift assignments and workload distribution of production staff. Conduct constructive and timely performance evaluations. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of production processes, machinery and equipment. Ensure all products are correctly labelled, stored and handled in line with company requirements. Report equipment malfunctions or issues to the maintenance department and follow up to ensure resolution. Ensure employee compliance with all applicable safety regulations, policies and procedures. Ensure that all production documents, checklists and paperwork are accurately completed and properly signed.
