Western Cape: Mechanical Engineer (Building Services) posted by Communicate Finance

• Produce mechanical design drawings, reports, and specifications
• Perform heat load and design calculations in line with recognised standards
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams throughout project lifecycles
• Support senior project leadership and manage small technical teams
• Lead projects from concept, design, tender, and construction to commissioning
• Attend client, consultant, and site meetings
• Work independently while contributing to team objectives

Skills & Experience:

• Strong HVAC design experience, particularly chilled water systems
• Knowledge of wet services; fire services experience advantageous
• Proven project management and coordination skills
• Technical report writing, cost estimating, and fee proposal preparation
• Experience with tender documentation, specifications, and BOQs
• Understanding of construction contracts and site processes
• Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, HAP, and MS Office
• Minimum 5–7 years’ relevant experience in the building services industry

Qualification:

• BTech/ BEng in Mechanical Engineering
• Professionally registered or eligible for registration
