About the Role
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Enrolled Nurse Assistant to join our multidisciplinary team at Complete Healthcare Services in the Eastern Cape region. As an Enrolled Nurse Assistant, you will work closely with patients in their homes or facilities, providing essential care and support to individuals with various medical conditions.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide basic care, assisting with personal hygiene (washing, dressing, grooming, feeding, support with moving, toileting)
- Administer medications under supervision of the registered nurse or family
- Monitor vitals of patients and record
- Perform basic wound care
- Manage feeds of a tracheostomy baby by means of a feeding pump
- Observe changes in condition of patients and record in daily reports
Requirements
- Strong understanding of treatment plans set out by other team members (doctor, NSM or physiotherapist)
- Good communication skills with supervisors, colleagues, patients, and family members
- Knowledge of dealing with emergency situations with a patient in their home
- Knowledge of Geriatric Care, Paediatric Care, Dementia Care, Post Stroke Care, Ventilation Care
Qualifications
- Diploma as an Enrolled Nurse Registered with the South African Nursing Council (SANC)
