Job Description

Job Responsibilities: Supply chain management. Forecast supply and demand to prevent overstocking and running out-of-stock. Place orders to replenish merchandise as needed. Track shipments, receive orders and address any delays. Oversee storage of products. Evaluate suppliers offers and negotiate profitable deals. Maintain an accurate inventory of both stock items and transactions. Coordinate with inventory team, management, and stockroom as required. Generate Purchase orders. Job Requirements: Manufacturing industry experience beneficial National Senior Certificate. Drivers license. Competent in Microsoft applications. Minimum 2 years experience in a similar role. Fully bilingual-English and Afrikaans. Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Job Description

Key Responsibilities Source, negotiate, and procure construction materials, plant, equipment, and subcontracted services Obtain and evaluate quotations in line with project requirements and budgets Place purchase orders and ensure accurate documentation and approvals Manage supplier relationships and negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules Ensure materials are delivered on time to site and in line with project timelines Monitor stock levels and coordinate with site teams to prevent shortages or delays Track orders, manage backorders, and resolve supply issues proactively Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies and industry standards Assist with cost control and procurement reporting Work closely with project managers, site managers, and finance teams Minimum Requirements Diploma or Degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field Minimum 35 years procurement experience within the construction industry Strong knowledge of construction materials, suppliers, and procurement processes Experience working with purchase orders, supplier negotiations, and contract terms Proficient in MS Excel and procurement or ERP systems Excellent organisational and time management skills Strong negotiation and communication skills Ability to work under pressure and meet urgent deadlines Advantageous Experience working on multiple construction sites simultaneously Local supplier knowledge within the Western Cape Immediate availability or short notice period Remuneration Market-related, dependent on experience Application This is an urgent role.
