About the Role
The Systems Engineer will play a critical role in the design, deployment, and optimization of integrated mining systems. You will work across disciplines to ensure seamless system performance, reliability, and innovation in underground operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement integrated smart mining systems (automation, telemetry, and IoT)
- Develop and maintain system architecture for underground operations
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams (mechanical, electrical, and software)
- Oversee the installation, commissioning, and optimization of systems underground
- Analyse system performance and recommend improvements
- Ensure compliance with mining safety standards and regulations
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting in operational environments
- Document system designs, processes, and maintenance procedures
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Electronic, Mechatronic, or similar)
- 37 years experience in systems engineering (mining/industrial preferred)
- Experience with industrial communication protocols (Modbus, CAN, and ethernet/IP)
- Knowledge of IoT platforms, automation systems, and SCADA
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
