About the Role
Our client, Mirna Butler Recruitment, is seeking an experienced and driven Finance Manager to lead in financial function and support strategic decision-making across the organization. This role is ideal for a finance professional with strong leadership capabilities and experience within the insurance or a related regulated industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes
- Manage financial reporting, analysis, and month-end/year-end close
- Ensure full compliance with regulatory requirements and applicable accounting standards
- Oversee cash flow management and treasury operations
- Provide strategic financial guidance and insights to senior management
- Manage and develop the finance team while improving finance processes and controls
- Prepare accurate and timely financial and management reports
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- CA, CPA, or relevant professional certification (preferred)
- Minimum of 3+ years finance experience in the insurance sector or a similar regulated industry
- Strong knowledge of financial management, accounting principles, and regulatory requirements relevant to insurance
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Fluency in English and at least one local language (e.g. Afrikaans, isiZulu, etc.)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Experience with accounting systems/software, particularly SAGE
Qualifications
- Valid driver’s licence
- Own reliable vehicle
