About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to join our kitchen team as an Assistant to the Kitchen Manager and Head Chef. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for contributing to the success of our food and beverage operations. Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Kitchen Manager and Head Chef in day-to-day kitchen operations
- Manage inventory control and cost estimation in a professional kitchen
- Compile menus and calculate costs effectively
- Perform other tasks as assigned by the Kitchen Manager
Requirements
- Formal training or certificate in professional food preparation (Chef) and culinary arts
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role
- Good knowledge of portion control, food preparation, and inventory management
- Proficient in the use of computers and basic software for planning and shopping
- Strong leadership and teamwork skills
