About the Role
Join our team as a Species Monitor in Zululand, where you’ll have the opportunity to contribute directly to the protection of Africa’s wildlife. As a passionate conservationist, you’ll be working with a variety of priority species, including wild dogs, lions, cheetahs, and rhinos.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out field monitoring, including the use of radio-telemetry and camera trapping
- Host and provide guided experiences to volunteers
- Assist in data management and analysis
Requirements
- South African citizen
- N.Dip. Nat.Con. / BSc. Conservation Ecology or similar qualification preferred
- FGASA qualified with field experience, preferably in a Big 5 environment
- Valid driver’s license and PrDP permit
- Valid First Aid Certificate
- Excellent English communication skills
Qualifications
- Completed National Diploma in Natural Resources Management or Bachelor’s degree in Conservation Ecology
Salary & Benefits
R9000 per annum, plus monitoring vehicle and research equipment. Single accommodation on-site. A 22 days on / 8 days off cycle, with annual leave.
