About the Role

Hire Resolve’s client in Cape Town is urgently seeking a skilled Pastel Accountant to join their team. As a Pastel Accountant, you will be responsible for managing financial records, conducting audits, and preparing financial statements using Pastel accounting software. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced accountant with strong proficiency in Pastel to join a well-established firm and contribute to their clients’ financial success.

Key Responsibilities

Manage and reconcile financial records using Pastel accounting software
Process all bank statements, supplier and journal entries up to Trial balance
Prepare monthly financial reports
Reconcile General Ledger accounts
Petty cash control and reconciliation
Bad debt control and disbursements

Requirements

Minimum 5 years experience in Pastel bookkeeping
Accounting diploma or higher
Proficiency in Excel and all Office software
Fluent spoken and written English
Accuracy and attention to detail
Strong administration and organisation skills
Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment

Qualifications

Completed accounting qualification (if applicable)

Salary & Benefits

Salary: R240K/yr – R300K/yr
