About the Role
My Client, a Wildlife Game Reserve in the Eastern Cape with a Deluxe 5 Star Lodge, is urgently recruiting for a management couple to fill the positions of He – Wildlife Reserve Manager and She: Lodge Anchor / Executive Housekeeper. The successful candidates will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the reserve and lodge, ensuring excellent guest experiences, and contributing to the overall success of the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the daily operations of the wildlife reserve and lodge
- Ensure excellent guest experiences at the lodge
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and maintenance in the lodge and reserve
- Oversee the administration of the lodge and reserve, including staff management and financial control
- Coordinate with external partners, such as agents and other lodges, to achieve business objectives
Requirements
- Matric
- Tertiary Diploma (or related qualification): Conservation Management, Eco/Wildlife Management or similar
- Field/Trails guiding experience would be an asset in the application
- Proven Safari/Game reserve management experience
- Maintenance management: vehicles, etc.
- Road and drainage maintenance
- Fence maintenance
- Anti-Poaching experience
- Game Count and Feeding experience as may be required from time to time
- Ability to work well in multi-disciplinary teams
- Passionate interest in conserving natural resources
- Love of outdoor life and animals
- Good health and physical fitness
- Practical and self-sufficient
Qualifications

- Tertiary Diploma (or related qualification): Conservation Management, Eco/Wildlife Management or similar
Salary & Benefits
The remuneration structure for the couple will be negotiated during interviews. The basic salary will be discussed, but candidates must be prepared to negotiate and consider future earnings once the industry rights itself. The offer may be reduced under COVID conditions, with the understanding that it will be amended later on when the lodge is back on track.
