About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Fractional Financial Manager to join our team. Our client is a professional services company, providing fractional accounting, financial management, inward expansion, tax, payroll, compliance, IR, and other services to South African SMEs. In this role, you will take responsibility for the financial management and oversight of a portfolio of clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review monthly management accounts for a range of clients.
- Perform monthly reconciliations, including payroll, VAT, and bank reconciliations.
- Ensure timely and accurate VAT calculations and submissions.
- Perform provisional tax calculations and prepare relevant schedules.
- Draft, review, and sign off on financial statements.
- Support clients with budgeting, forecasting, and cost modelling.
- Lead monthly financial management meetings with clients to provide insights and advice.
Requirements
- Qualification as a Chartered Accountant (SA).
- At least 1 year of post-article experience, ideally within an accounting firm or client-facing role.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles (IFRS for SMEs), tax legislation, and payroll.
- Proficient in cloud accounting platforms (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks, Dext, ApprovalMax, Draftworkx).
- International exposure or experience with cross-border financial management is a plus.
Qualifications
- Chartered Accountant (SA) qualification.
Salary & Benefits
R45K – R55K CTC p.m. (depending on experience).
