About the Role
The business is a leading African banking group focused on emerging markets globally. With 156 years of experience as a mainstay of South Africa’s financial system, it now spans 18 countries across the African continent and seeks an experienced Solution Architect to join its team in the Johannesburg CBD.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, design, and maintain solution architectures for specific business functional or technical areas
- Participate in the definition of higher-level functional and non-functional requirements
- Analyze technical trade-offs and determine major components and subsystems
- Define interfaces and collaborations between them, ensuring strategic alignment with agreed-upon business outcomes
Requirements
- Relevant Architecture Certification (e.g., CISSP Information Systems Security Architecture)
- Professional certifications in ITIL Master or similar information systems security architecture
- Good understanding of Agile working practices and LEAN/SCrum proficiency
- 8 to 12 years commercial experience
- 3 to 6 years commercial experience as an Architect
- Proficiency in Java, J2EE, Angular, and Cloud technologies
Qualifications
- Relevant Architecture Certification (e.g., CISSP Information Systems Security Architecture)
Salary & Benefits
R1.5 to R1.7 million per annum, cost-to-company salary, negotiable on experience and ability.
