About the Role

We are seeking an experienced General Manager – Logistics to join our team at MPRTC Recruitment. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading our logistics operations, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of goods, and managing our supply chain to maximize efficiency and minimize costs. With 10-15 years of senior management experience in the timber industry, we are looking for a seasoned professional who can bring their expertise and leadership skills to drive business growth and success.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage logistics operations to ensure timely and efficient delivery of goods
• Lead cross-functional teams to optimize supply chain performance
• Analyze data to identify areas for improvement and implement changes to increase efficiency
• Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, and partners
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure alignment and maximize business benefits

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business management, Transport & Logistics, Supply Chain, Engineering, or equivalent
• Postgraduate qualification (MBA/Master’s) beneficial
• 10–15 years’ senior management experience, including 5+ years at executive level
• Strong background in transport, logistics, freight, or supply chain operations
• Knowledge of South African regulatory frameworks and compliance standards
