About the Role

Join Dwarsrivier Chrome Mine, a world-class producer of Chrome Ore in the Limpopo Province, as a Pump Attendant. We are seeking a reliable and skilled individual to operate underground water pumps and maintain proper operation of the pumps. As a valued member of our team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient functioning of our mining operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Be in charge of underground water pumps
  • Maintain proper operation of the pumps
  • Minimize abuse of pumps and equipment
  • Extend pumping column to where required
  • Connect pumps
  • Collect, install and maintain effective pumping

Requirements

  • Completion of a relevant, approved training programme
  • 6 months production exposure in an underground mining environment (advantageous)
  • 6 months working knowledge of trackless mining (advantageous)

Qualifications

  • Grade 10 / Standard 8 Certificate is the minimum educational requirement
  • No formal education qualifications mentioned beyond the Grade 10 certificate
