About the Role
Dis-Chem Pharmacies is seeking a qualified Clinic Nurse Practitioner to join their team in Hermanus. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be self-motivated, and possess strong analytical skills relating to monthly clinic statistics and commission. As a Clinic Nurse Practitioner, you will play a key role in managing and operating a profitable Primary Health Care Clinic within the scope of practice of a registered nursing practitioner.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform Clinic Sister duties according to industry regulations and industry best practices
- Manage the average feet-per-hour rate and set clinic objectives to enhance patient care
- Ensure all clinic services are available at the required times and maintain accurate records of patient details
- Follow up on communication with patients, store and dispensary manager, colleagues, medical aids, suppliers/reps, key role players in the community, and other healthcare professionals
- Process claims accurately and timeously according to industry standards
- Maintain a clean and safe clinic environment, ensuring stock is sufficient and equipment is in good working condition
Requirements
- Registered with the South African Nursing Council (SANC)
- 2-3 years experience in practicing as a Primary Health Care Clinic Sister
- Strong knowledge of community health nursing, primary health care, and/or occupational health nursing
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
Qualifications
- Grade 12 Matric
- Tertiary qualification in General Nursing Degree/Diploma in Midwifery
- BHF registration (for those applying for the position)
Salary & Benefits
