About the Role

A leading industrial manufacturing company situated in Gauteng is urgently seeking the expertise of an experienced Procurement Manager to join their team. The successful incumbent for this position will be responsible for executing procurement strategy, managing supplier performance, and ensuring compliance with processes.

Key Responsibilities

Support execution of procurement strategy for the maintenance of rolling stock and wayside infrastructure.
Drive compliance for processes to the team, APSYS, continuous improvement.
Manage supplier QCDED performance with interfaces in quality, supply chain, economic development.
Facilitate resolution of major issues through escalation processes.
Secure purchase order placement on time, escalations aligned to the contract and a proactive approach to obsolescence.

Requirements

5 years experience in Procurement
Experience in managing small teams
Strong negotiation skills (contracts with suppliers)
Communication skills

Qualifications

Degree – commercial preferred (technical/industrial may be considered)
