About the Role
Instrumentation Technician – East London
We are seeking a skilled Instrumentation Technician to join our team in East London. As an Instrumentation Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the proper functioning of instrumentation systems in various industrial and manufacturing environments. You will work closely with other engineers and technicians to troubleshoot issues, perform maintenance tasks, and implement new system upgrades.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine instrumentation checks and calibrations
- Troubleshoot electrical faults and repair or replace components as needed
- Install and commission new instrumentation systems
- Collaborate with operators to optimize process performance
- Read and interpret technical drawings and wiring diagrams
Requirements
- Trade Tested Electrician with an Instrumentation specialization (Red Seal preferred)
- N6 in Electrical Engineering preferable
- Minimum 5 years post-trade experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment
- Solid knowledge of PLC programming and fault finding (preferably Siemens, Allen Bradley, ABB, Delta, Mitsubishi, Schneider, B&R, Bosch Rexroth)
Qualifications
- Trade Tested Electrician certification
- N6 Electrical Engineering qualification
