About the Role
An extraordinary sanctuary of wellness nestled within the tranquil beauty of Zanzibar is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Spa and Wellness Manager to lead our luxury spa operations. As the face of our spa, you will be responsible for providing exceptional guest experiences, driving business growth, and ensuring that our spa services meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and hygiene.
Key Responsibilities
- Submit reports to Head Office in a timely manner (including commission and payroll report, timesheet & attendance, spa month end report, sales report, stock take, annual summary of services, maintenance report, incident reports, staff appraisal reports)
- Perform opening and closing procedures for the spa
- Complete all end of day revenue reports, recording all guest invoices, treatments, and revenue generating sales in an accurate and correct manner
- Drive staff development and training to enhance their skills and knowledge
- Take charge of maintenance management to ensure required tasks are completed in a timely manner and follow up when tasks are not completed
- Deliver a variety of spa services and procedures to a high quality and standard as required
- Design and execute all wellness activities, retreats, and events
- Promote wellness programs through in-house guests and build strong wellness and holistic database
- Set monthly targets for team members and motivate and drive to achieve said targets
- Demonstrate sincere customer focus and true appreciation for the guest experience
Requirements
- Internationally recognized spa and beauty therapy certifications (ITEC, CIDESCO, SAAHSP)
- Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Beauty / Body Therapy or equivalent
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a Spa Manager role within a luxury 5* hospitality environment
- Well versed in all aspects of the Spa’s operations, including guest relations, retail sales, and spa services
- Deep knowledge and understanding of nutrition, exercise, mind-body connection, wellness, yoga, and meditation
Qualifications
- Completed Diploma or degree in International Beauty Therapy
- Relevant certifications (ITEC, CIDESCO, SAAHSP)
- Evidence of previous spa management experience
