Job Description

Law firm is seeking an accomplished Senior Conveyancing Bond Secretary to join our RMB / FNB Bond department. The successful candidate will bring a minimum of 5–8 years’ current experience in conveyancing, specifically with private banking bonds. Prior exposure to FNB Private Clients, FNB Private Wealth, RMB Private Bank, or Investec Private Banking bonds is strongly preferred. The ideal candidate will have demonstrable competence in managing bonds for a variety of clientele, including trusts, companies, close corporations (CCs), and individuals. Location: Pretoria East Key Responsibilities Bond Administration & Management Handle the full spectrum of bond registrations for RMB, FNB, and Investec Private Banking clients. Facilitate correspondence and transactions involving private wealth and private client bonds. Draft and prepare all relevant bond documentation, including for trusts, companies, CCs, and individual clients. Client Liaison & Communication Engage directly with private wealth clients, financial institutions, attorneys, and other stakeholders. Communicate effectively with banks and clients to ensure efficient processing and resolution of queries. Document Preparation & Drafting Prepare, verify, and finalize documentation – particularly bond instructions and related forms. Preferably competent in drafting via Lotus Notes (not essential). Ensure meticulous attention to regulatory requirements and compliance protocols. Administrative Coordination Monitor deadlines, guarantee accurate record-keeping, and ensure all administrative duties related to bonds are fulfilled. Maintain up-to-date files and manage correspondence for multiple entities (trusts, companies, CCs, individuals). Minimum Requirements Experience: 5–8 years’ recent experience working as a Conveyancing Bond Secretary in a law firm or financial institution. Extensive and recent background in FNB Private Clients, FNB Private Wealth, RMB Private Bank, or Investec Private Banking bonds. Skills & Knowledge: Expertise in drafting and processing bond documents for trusts, companies, and CCs. High proficiency in private banking bond work. Preferably skilled in Lotus Notes drafting (advantageous but not essential). Exceptional attention to detail, strong organisational capabilities, and multitasking proficiency. Attributes: Professional, discreet, and client-focused attitude. Strong work ethic and ability to operate independently. Adaptability and excellent communication skills.
