About the Role
The successful candidate will deliver sales to process parts counter sales transactions accurately and timeously through the execution of predefined work objectives as per agreed standard operating procedures. They will conduct all transactions with customers with the utmost courtesy, ensuring accurate identification of customers’ needs by means of arts catalogues, computer stock lists, and implementation of discount structure as applicable.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct all transactions with customers with the utmost courtesy
- Correctly place items in stores
- Ensure accurate identification of customers’ needs
- Assist all company staff in parts identification and replacements if required
- Assist in training new parts persons
- Ensure all paperwork, documentation, requisitions are properly recorded within stock control system
- Ensure that all credit sales are made to an authorised signatory of approved account
- Keep all parts catalogues, manufacturers lists, etc. updated and tidy
- Ensure Warehouse Manager is kept aware of stock movement
- Notify Warehouse Manager of any difference noted when inspecting incoming goods
- Maintain good helpful relationships with all customers and their representatives
- Assist if required in any marketing activity as required
- Ensure all transactions take place according to company policy
- Ensure security of all payment received
- Ensure that the highest level of CSI is achieved
Requirements
- 3-5 years’ experience as a parts sales executive, with a proven track record
- Higher Certificates and/or Advanced National (Vocational) Certificates
- Matric
