About the Role
A well-established Insurance Brokerage in Pretoria North is seeking an experienced Underwriter to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a personal lines portfolio, handling claims administration, and providing high-level service to clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full personal lines policy lifecycle, including new business quotations, renewals, endorsements, and cancellations.
- Handle end-to-end claims administration from initial notification and registration through to final settlement.
- Operate independently on insurer portals to ensure accurate data capturing and policy issuance.
- Ensure all transactions and client interactions remain strictly compliant with FAIS, FICA, and internal regulatory standards.
- Provide high-level, dedicated service to clients, acting as a reliable technical point of contact for all insurance-related queries.
- Maintain meticulous record-keeping and administrative accuracy to ensure the portfolio remains seamlessly up-to-date.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in Personal Lines Underwriting
- Matric certificate
- RE5 Qualification
- NQF4 Short-Term Insurance Qualification
- DOFA (Date of First Appointment) confirmation
- Computer Skills: Experience with TIAL System Administration (highly advantageous)
- Any additional relevant qualifications will be beneficial
