About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Edm sparker & Wire Cutter Operator & Programmer to join our team at West Coast Personnel in Cape Town. As an integral member of our production team, you will be responsible for interpreting detailed engineering drawings and technical specifications, setting up and operating edm sparkers and wire cutter machines, ensuring work meets required quality and tolerance standards and deadlines, inspecting and verifying accuracy of finished components, and more.
Key Responsibilities

- Ensure work meets required quality and tolerance standards and deadlines
- Inspect and verify accuracy of finished components
- Meet physical fitness requirements to handle tools and materials
- Possess good hand-eye coordination and strong practical skills
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years experience in the engineering or metal industry
- Ability to use CAD software
- Physically fit and able to work under pressure with deadlines
- Sound communication skills in English (read, write, and understand)
- Own reliable transport
- No criminal record
- Hard-working and self-motivated
- Strong time management and organisational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Qualifications
- Completed formal education in a relevant field (if applicable)
