Job Description
Hire Resolve is currently working with a reputable consulting firm based in Cape Town who is seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join their team. As a Mechanical Engineer in the consulting field, you will be responsible for providing expert advice and solutions to clients in various industries.
Responsibilities:
- Conducting site visits and inspections to gather necessary data.
- Analyzing client requirements and developing innovative mechanical designs and systems.
- Preparing detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and cost estimates.
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure design integrity and functionality.
- Performing calculations, simulations, and tests to validate design feasibility and performance.
- Providing technical advice and guidance to clients and stakeholders.
- Ensuring compliance with industry standards, regulations, and codes.
- Managing project timelines, budgets, and resources.
- Preparing and presenting project proposals and reports to clients.
- Staying up-to-date with advancements in mechanical engineering technology and practices.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Professional Engineering (PE) license is preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in mechanical engineering consulting.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical design principles and standards.
- Proficiency in engineering software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and ANSYS.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Effective communication and presentation abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Flexibility to travel to client sites as required.
