About the Role

Optimi Holdings Ltd is seeking a well-organised individual with a people-oriented approach to join our team as an Education Specialist for Geography Grades 10-12. The ideal candidate should have a positive outlook, be adaptable to change and excel as a team player with exceptional communication skills. It is essential that the candidate has an in-depth understanding of all CAPS requirements and can critically evaluate content within the subject field.

Key Responsibilities

  • Apply and monitor the application of CAPS and the assessment requirements by the examination board.
  • Ensure quality assurance of external developers and moderators.
  • Moderate or set assessment tasks in specific areas of expertise and/or related fields.
  • Plan, support and/or present academic-related webinars/memorandum discussions.
  • Develop or facilitate the design of the assessment instructions and guidelines according to the unique needs of the education clients.
  • Academic support and collaboration with Impaq Online School educators.
  • Provide academic feedback to suit the unique needs of learners.
  • Develop academic support materials.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Education or bachelor’s degree with PGCE in a relevant field
  • 5 years of experience as an educator
  • Computer literacy
  • Proficiency in Afrikaans and English language
  • SACE registered
