About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Investment Analyst to join our client’s investment management company based in Johannesburg. As a critical member of the investment team, you will support and lead key elements of the investment evaluation process, including assessing new investment opportunities and conducting financial analysis for follow-on financings. Our ideal candidate will have a strong analytical mindset, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach to delivering high-quality results.
Key Responsibilities
- Support and lead critical elements of the investment evaluation process
- Assess new investment opportunities
- Conduct financial analysis for follow-on financings
- Be actively involved in all areas of mezzanine funding and portfolio management
- Contribute to the company’s impact investment mandate
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years experience in Leveraged Finance, Corporate Finance, Investment Banking, or Private Equity
- Advanced financial analysis and modelling skills
- Strong Excel and PowerPoint proficiency
- Experience preparing credit papers for internal Investment Committee approvals
Qualifications
- Graduate degree in Finance, Engineering, Accounting, or Law (technical or quantitative emphasis preferred)
