About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Accountant to join our team as an iLembe, responsible for managing and maintaining accurate financial records within a reputable and growing organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain accurate financial records
- Process invoices, payments, and receipts
- Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies
- Support month-end and year-end close processes
- Monitor accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Assist with audits and provide required documentation
- Maintain accurate, organised electronic financial files
- Identify discrepancies and resolve accounting issues
Requirements
- BCom Degree
- 34 years relevant accounting experience
- Completed SAIPA / SAICA articles (preferred but not essential)
- Strong attention to detail with a neat, accurate, and professional approach
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and Google Workspace
- Confident with calculations and report preparation
Qualifications
- Completed BCom Degree (relevant degree required)
