About the Role
The Site Manager position at Universal Coal Belfast in Mpumalanga is a critical role that requires an experienced and skilled security expert to oversee daily operations, manage staff, and ensure compliance with company policies. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the mining environment, particularly in PGM (Precious Metal Group) and Security Management.
Key Responsibilities
- Effectively deal with client complaints and manage relationships with clients
- Manage manpower and equipment to ensure smooth site operations
- Initiate and chair disciplinary hearings as per company policy
- Conduct threat and risk assessments to identify potential security concerns
- Implement Health & Safety management practices to maintain a secure work environment
Requirements
- 10 years minimum experience in the mining environment (PGM experience is preferred)
- PSIRA certification Grade A required
- Security Management Diploma with a Security BTech Degree or equivalent an advantage
- SAPS experience and HIRA and Legal Liability training advantageous
- Firearm competency and a valid Regulation 21 certificate is an advantage (9mm Shotgun)

- Grade 12 or equivalent qualification required
