Job Description

About the Role

A leading independent engineering firm based in Randburg is seeking a Senior Engineer to take charge of project planning, design, and execution. The ideal candidate will oversee both consulting and in-house engineering teams, ensuring technical excellence across all project phases.

Key Responsibilities

Set up of project requirements and schedules.
Scope generation.
Manage multiple complex projects at the same time.
Ensure their designs meet manufacturing, technical and customer requirements.
Ensure that all design projects are completed within budget and time.
Task delegation, tracking and reporting.
Management of the engineering team.
Interaction with clients.
Site visits and commissioning.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent)
10 years work experience in relevant field of engineering and management.
Experience in Materials Handling, Modular Structures and Mobile Mining Equipment working as a lead engineer.
CAD experience (Solidworks).
Work using a product management system (PDM, Team Centre).

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
