Job Description

About the Role

As the Transport Manager, you will be responsible for the end-to-end planning, coordination, and control of transport operations at the Meadowview Distribution Centre. You will manage a large driver workforce, ensure legal and operational compliance, and drive efficient, on-time delivery of multi-temperature products.

Key Responsibilities

Plan, allocate, and optimise delivery routes for cost efficiency and service excellence
Oversee distribution of ambient, chilled, and frozen products
Ensure full compliance with NBCRFLI, including overtime, shifts, and benefits
Control driver attendance, productivity, overtime, and disciplinary processes
Enforce health, safety, and road traffic regulations
Monitor transport KPIs, delivery performance, and operational costs
Coordinate closely with warehouse and distribution teams

Requirements

Proven experience as a Transport Manager (non-negotiable)
Experience managing large driver teams (100 staff)
Strong route planning and route optimisation skills
FMCG / food distribution experience with multi-temperature products
Solid knowledge of NBCRFLI, labour relations, and overtime management
