About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Counter Sales Representative to join our team in Germiston. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, processing sales transactions, and promoting our water treatment products to maximize sales opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

Engage with walk-in clients to understand their needs and provide expert advice on water treatment products and solutions.
Answer technical queries and provide recommendations based on customer requirements.
Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction by offering prompt and professional service.
Process sales transactions efficiently using IQ Retail software.
Generate accurate invoices, quotations, and delivery notes for customers.
Upsell and cross-sell related products to maximize sales opportunities.
Demonstrate a solid understanding of water treatment products, systems, and technologies to assist clients effectively.
Provide basic troubleshooting advice and recommend appropriate products or services for technical issues.
Liaise with the technical team for more complex customer needs or product customization.

Requirements

Proven experience in counter sales or customer service, preferably in the water treatment industry.
Familiarity with IQ Retail software or similar point-of-sale systems.
Basic understanding of water treatment systems and products.
Ability to explain technical concepts to clients in a clear and approachable manner.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent (technical certification in water treatment or a related field is a plus).
