About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Machine Operator to join our operations team in Kuruman. The successful candidate will operate and maintain heavy machinery such as Front-End Loaders (FEL), Articulated Dump Trucks (ADT), and Reach Stackers, ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant movement of materials on site.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate mining and logistics machinery to load, move, and transport materials (e.g., coal, manganese, containers)
- Conduct daily pre-operational inspections and ensure machinery is maintained and operated safely
- Ensure correct stacking, weighing, and loading of containers according to operational procedures
- Report equipment defects, maintenance needs, or safety incidents immediately
- Maintain a clean, hazard-free work area and adhere to all SHEQ and OHS standards
Requirements
- Valid FEL / ADT / Reach Stacker operating license
- 1–2 years’ experience as a Machine Operator in mining, logistics, or a similar environment
- Strong understanding of safety regulations and equipment operation
