About the Role
The role of Financial Accountant at Sharon Nurock Recruitment cc is a critical one, ensuring the delivery of accurate, timely, and compliant financial information in accordance with IFRS, JSE requirements, and Group accounting policies. The successful candidate will provide critical support during month-end, interim, and year-end reporting cycles, improve documentation, and ensure timely submission of reporting while strengthening continuity, resilience, and knowledge retention within the Group Reporting team.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparing Group-level consolidation entries and related eliminations
- Preparing the interim and annual financial statements (AFS)
- Preparing supporting schedules and workings for the AFS
- Supporting the integrated annual reporting process
- Preparing the Group monthly board pack
- Collating and summarising commentary for the Group board pack
- Assisting with the preparation of Group KPIs
- Preparing trading update workings
- Supporting the Investor Relations function
- Supporting the year-end external audit process
- Reviewing and releasing Group-level payments
- Supporting the build and maintenance of OneStream
- Assisting with ad hoc projects and technical research areas
Requirements
- CA(SA) + 2 years post articles experience
- SAP (advantageous)
- MS Office (intermediate level)
- Experience in a high stress and pressurised environment is essential
Qualifications
- Completed Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
- SA qualification from an accredited institution
