Job Description: Production Manager in Manufacturing and Engineering Industry
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Production Manager to oversee and drive manufacturing operations in the Rubber and Engineering industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in rubber production processes, cost control, and time management, ensuring efficient production, quality standards, and timely delivery. Key Responsibilities: Production Planning and Management:
- Develop and implement production schedules, balancing efficiency with customer demands.
- Supervise the manufacturing processes, ensuring all products meet quality and performance standards.
- Coordinate with procurement, maintenance, and quality assurance teams to maintain smooth operations.
- Monitor and adjust production activities to meet deadlines and budget constraints.
Costing and Budget Management:
- Analyze production costs, identify cost-saving opportunities, and implement effective measures.
- Collaborate with finance and procurement teams to track and manage inventory and material costs.
- Prepare and manage departmental budgets to meet financial targets.
Rubber and Material Expertise:
- Oversee rubber mixing, molding, curing, and finishing processes, ensuring adherence to industry standards.
- Evaluate and implement new materials or technologies to improve product quality and reduce costs.
Time Management and Efficiency:
- Monitor and minimize downtime by optimizing equipment usage and workforce allocation.
- Implement lean manufacturing principles to enhance productivity and reduce waste.
- Ensure production targets are met without compromising quality or safety.
Leadership and Team Development:
- Manage and mentor production staff, fostering a culture of accountability and growth.
- Conduct regular training sessions to enhance employee skills and knowledge.
- Promote workplace safety by enforcing compliance with health and safety regulations.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering (or related field).
- 5+ years of experience in production management, preferably in the rubber and engineering industry.
- Strong knowledge of rubber processing techniques, material properties, and industry standards.
- Proven experience in cost analysis, budget control, and resource allocation.
- Exceptional time management and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in production planning tools and ERP systems.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies.
- Hands-on experience with specialized rubber manufacturing equipment and tools.
- Knowledge of ISO standards and quality management systems.
