About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Construction Estimator to join our team in Cape Town. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction estimating and a high attention to detail, with a proven track record of providing accurate cost estimates for construction projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze project plans and specifications to determine accurate cost estimates
  • Prepare and submit detailed bids and proposals for construction projects
  • Collaborate with project managers, clients, and subcontractors to gather necessary information for estimates
  • Review and assess project scope, schedules, and materials requirements
  • Identify potential cost-saving opportunities and value engineering options
  • Track and analyze project costs and provide regular updates to project teams

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Construction Estimator or similar role
  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or related field
  • Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and building codes
  • Proficient in construction estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent analytical and mathematical skills
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized
  • Knowledge of local building regulations and codes in Cape Town
  • Valid driver’s license
