Southern: Climate & Plant Pathology Agronomist – Remote

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Agronomist to join our team as a Southern Climate & Plant Pathology expert. As a key member of our crop protection advisory services, you will work closely with consultants to deliver technical training and on-site support using weather station data, disease forecasting models, and localized climate tools.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver technical training and on-site support to crop protection consultants
• Guide consultants in translating real-time and forecasted climate data into actionable crop protection plans
• Interpret disease model outputs and advise on the best crop protection timing and strategies for the forecasted period
• Collaborate with agronomists and product specialists to align advisory outputs with current crop production cycles and pest control needs
• Promote the integration of climate-smart tools into standard crop protection practices
• Support product adoption through regional engagement, trials, and knowledge-sharing events

Requirements

• Proven technical expertise in climatic data & forecasting, plant pathology, and precision agriculture
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively with consultants and stakeholders from various backgrounds
• Experience with weather station data, disease forecasting models, and localized climate tools

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Agronomy, Plant Pathology, or a related field
