About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Foreman to join our team at Route Management in Vereeniging. As a key member of our workshop team, you will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, ensuring excellent customer service, and driving business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Control over workshop
- Daily housekeeping
- Handling all work in process in trailer repair workshop
- Providing excellent pre and post sale service
- Ensuring work is done on a daily basis
- Completing work within quoted hours and delivery date as per quotation and agreed upon with client
- Compiling of daily, weekly, monthly reports
- Evaluation of damaged trailers
- Building strong customer relationships
- Liaising with clients and estimators on a daily basis to ensure proper planning
- Quality control on the work being done throughout repair
- Material inspection daily, liaising with stores to ensure proper material planning
- Maintaining discipline on the floor and ensuring target is reached
- Evaluating the skills level of production team members
- Providing additional training to team where needed
- Managing labor hours on a daily basis as well as overtime
- Ad-hoc tasks
Requirements
- Matric
- Bilingual
- Well-acquainted with health and safety regulations and practices accordingly
- Minimum of 5 years experience in trailer manufacturing and repairs
- Minimum of 3 years experience in supervisory role
- Qualification in Trade (Boilermaker, Diesel Mechanic, Fitter) will be an advantage
- Own transport
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Extensive trailer and trailer part knowledge
- Business development skills, finding new clients, and maintaining client relations
- Ability to perform well under pressure
- Excellent time management skills
- Team player
- Determined and able to preserve
- Excellent communication skills
- Energetic and able to initiate action
- Professional and technical expertise
- Excellent planning ability
