About the Role

The Foreman role at Route Management involves overseeing daily operations in the trailer repair workshop, ensuring timely completion of projects, and maintaining strong customer relationships. The ideal candidate will have control over the workshop, handle all work processes, and provide excellent pre- and post-sale services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Handle all work in process in trailer repair workshop
  • Provide excellent pre and post sale service
  • Ensure work is done on a daily basis
  • Compiling of daily, weekly, monthly reports
  • Evaluation of damaged trailers
  • Build strong and sound customer relationships
  • Liaise with clients and estimators on a daily basis to ensure proper planning
  • Quality control on the work being done throughout repair
  • Material inspection daily liaising with stores to ensure proper material planning
  • Maintain discipline on the floor ad making sure that target is reached
  • Evaluate the skills level of the production team
  • Provide additional training to team where needed
  • Manage labor hours on a daily basis as well as overtime
  • Ad-hoc tasks

Requirements

  • Matric
  • Bilingual
  • Must be well acquainted with health and safety regulations and insure that it is practices accordingly
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in the trailer manufacturing and repairs
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in supervisory role
  • Qualification in Trade (Boilermaker, Diesel Mechanic, Fitter) will be advantage
  • Own transport
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Extensive trailer and trailer part knowledge
