Job Description
- Design of new equipment, product support, and continuous improvement of existing equipment.
- Oversee the full product/project lifecycle, from conceptualization through to design, manufacturing, testing, and trialling.
- Conduct underground site visits as required.
- Provide technical assistance to production on equipment-related issues.
- Participate in design reviews and technical discussions.
- Develop and test prototypes.
- Check and approve drawings and material lists generated by staff.
- Generate and review product documentation.
- Support production, sales, and suppliers with part numbers, queries, and costings.
- Assist suppliers with drawing, manufacturing, material, or quality-related queries.
Minimum Requirements:
- B.Eng. Mechanical (M.Eng. advantageous).
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
- Strong problem-solving and objective-driven mindset.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint essential).
- Exposure to SolidWorks and/or Enterprise PDM beneficial.
- Knowledge of valves and understanding of relevant codes (ASME, ANSI, BS, EN) for pressure vessels, welding, and valves advantageous.
- CAD, FEA, and CFD knowledge would be a strong advantage.
