About the Role
Hire Resolve is seeking a Health & Safety Officer to join their client in the Construction industry in George, Western Cape. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with construction health and safety regulations and contributing to a safe work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with construction health and safety regulations.
- Develop and implement site-specific safety policies and procedures.
- Conduct regular site inspections and identify hazards.
- Investigate incidents and recommend preventative actions.
- Provide safety training and promote a safety culture.
- Maintain safety records and documentation.
- Contribute to risk assessments and safe work methods.
Requirements
- Registration with SACPMP
- Relevant Health and Safety Qualification (e.g., degree, diploma, certificate)
- Minimum 2 Years experience in the Construction Industry
- Strong knowledge of the South African OHS Act and construction regulations
- Proven skills in risk assessment and incident investigation
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Auditing and report writing skills
- Computer Literacy (Outlook / Basic Word & Excel)
- Drivers License Code 08 or above
