About the Role
Flair TM is seeking a registered Professional Architect to join our dynamic property development company in East London. As Lead Architect, you will be responsible for managing all architectural project stages from concept design to construction completion and facilities management handover, overseeing multi-disciplinary design coordination using Revit, BIM systems, and AEC tools, and providing principal agent services and project management oversight for multiple developments.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as Lead Architect for an in-house architectural practice supporting a large property development portfolio
- Manage all architectural project stages from concept design to construction completion and facilities management handover
- Oversee multi-disciplinary design coordination using Revit, BIM systems, and AEC tools
- Prepare, plan, and manage contract documentation, supported by a team of architectural technologists
- Handle municipal submissions, SAPS approvals, and SAPOA area certification
- Provide principal agent services and project management oversight for multiple developments
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture from an accredited university
- Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Lead Professional Architect in a South African private practice
- SACAP registration (Pr Arch) required
- Proven experience in commercial, industrial, and mixed-use developments, including greenfield projects, refurbishments, and new construction
- Strong principal agent and project management experience
