About the Role
HotelJobs is seeking an experienced Reservations Manager to lead and manage the reservations function at our prestigious 5-star property located in the picturesque town of Wellington. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all reservation operations, coaching and motivating the team to deliver exceptional guest service, and achieving financial objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the reservations and reception teams to deliver high-quality guest service
- Implement and uphold policies and procedures
- Monitor and manage individual and group bookings
- Drive revenue through effective upselling and yield management
- Collaborate closely with other departments to ensure seamless guest experiences
- Train and support the team to meet operational and financial goals
Requirements
- South African citizen or valid visa holder
- Matric / Grade 12 qualification
- Proven experience managing a reservations team within a hospitality environment
- Sound understanding of revenue management principles
- Strong leadership, interpersonal, and team-coaching skills
- Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
- Highly organized with strong time management and problem-solving abilities
- Proficient in MS Office and Property Management Systems (PMS)
- Experience with Semper, NightsBridge, and online travel agency platforms (OTAs)
