Our client, a leading player in the engineering and construction sector, is seeking a highly experienced and dynamic Project Manager to join their team. This role is critical for delivering high-value, complex projects within the petrochemical industry. If you are a hands-on leader with a strong contractor background and a proven track record in structural, piping, and mechanical construction, we want to hear from you.
Location: Projects nationally, with a primary focus on Cape Town, Sasolburg, Secunda, Durban, and Rustenburg. This is a site-based role requiring willingness to travel and work away from home.
Essential Qualifications & Experience:
- National Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- 8 years+ of experience as a Project Manager
- Extensive experience in managing structural, piping, and mechanical construction projects within the petrochemical industry
- Preference will be given to candidates with a background in contracting or EPC environments over pure consulting
- Proven working knowledge of NEC3 contract conditions
- Practical understanding and application of Primavera P6 and MS Project
- In-depth knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety Act and construction site safety protocols
- A solid understanding of construction quality management processes and standards
